St Peters Group

The St Peters group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the each month except during December and January in the St Peters Church Hall on the corner of Hillside Road and Baker Street, South Dunedin from 10am until 2pm.

Bring your lunch and whatever you are working on.

Tea and coffee provided. There are good facilities for heating up lunch in the winter.

The St Peters group is not confined to patchwork and quilting alone- we have knitters, teddy and toy makers, embroidery, cross stitch, bag makers as well- anything in the craft world. While we don’t teach classes, there everyone is only too willing to help or advise someone on how to get started on a project and sharing their knowledge.

Feel free to join this warm and friendly group. Every one is welcome. You do not have to be a member of Quilters and Patchworkers of Otago (Inc.) to join the St Peters group. You are welcome to patchwork, knitting, embroidery and any hand craft.

All meetings are held on a Wednesday between 10am and 2pm. Cost $4.00

You are most welcome to call in to have a look at what the members are doing. Ask for Cynthia and she will show you around and answer any questions you have.

The first meeting was held on February 21st 1990 and meetings were held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at a charge of $1.00. As the group gained popularity it began meeting twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays and eventually adding two hours in the afternoon.

On 24th February 2015 the St Peters group celebrated their 25th anniversary with a cake and 25 candles.
