Our July meeting will be held in Mosgiel when we join with Ashleigh Quilters of Cozy Quilting in the Mosgiel Presbyterian Church Hall between 10am and 3pm.
Ashleigh Quilters have organised merchants to be present during the day. There will be a spaker in the morning and another in the afternoon. Bring show and tell and your lunch. Soup will be provided.
Q&P Otago’s monthly meetings:
We meet on the second Thursday of each month at in the Technology Block at Bayfield High School located on the corner of Shore Street and Musselburgh Rise, Dunedin from 7.pm – 9.30pm. Doors open at 7.15pm. The exception is the first meeting of the year in January, which is always held on the 3rd Thursday and during winter (June and July) we meet on a Saturday.
At the meetings we also have a speaker or an activity and our library is open, there’s show and tell, and a number of raffles for sale. The evening ends with a cuppa and a chat.
Visitors and new members are always welcome to come along and find out more at any of our meetings.
The St Peters group is not confined to patchwork and quilting alone- we have knitters, teddy and toy makers, embroidery, cross stitch, bag makers as well- anything in the craft world. While we don’t teach classes, there everyone is only too willing to help or advise someone on how to get started on a project and sharing their knowledge.
The St Peters group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the each month except during December and January in the St Peters Church Hall on the corner of Hillside Road and Baker Street, South Dunedin from 10am until 2pm.
Bring your lunch and whatever you are working on.
Tea and coffee provided. There are good facilities for heating up lunch in the winter.
Feel free to join this warm and friendly group. Every one is welcome. You do not have to be a member of Quilters and Patchworkers of Otago (Inc.) to join the St Peters group. You are welcome to join the group and do any hand craft. Cost $4.00. Ask for Cynthia.
Camp in the City provides a whole weekend working on projects that you either want to start or complete and you get to go home and sleep in your own bed.
Camp in the City operates from Friday 5.30pm to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 9pm & Sunday 9am to 4pm.
We’ve found it is a great way to get together and have a whole weekend working on projects that you either want to start or complete while others also keen on quilting and patch working do the same – it couldn’t be better.
If you can not come for the whole weekend feel free to come along for the Friday night or either Saturday or Sunday. You could pop in for a few hours over the weekend. You can leave your machine set up over the weekend and come and go as it suits you.
It’s fair to say we have a lot of fun! Its a great way to check out what the others are doing.
