Classes- My Favourite Things- 1 Day Class Sunday 11 November 2018
The tutor for this class is Mary Geary. Mary is one of our members and has tutored in NZ, Norfolk Island and Australia. She is a fantastic tutor and you will learn lots of tips from her. The class will be held on Sunday 11 November 2018 at Bayfield High School from 10am to 4pm.
Have you got some favourite fabric that you want to make in to a quilt but don’t know where to start? Do you have some spare blocks but don’t know how to put them together? At this class we start with your fabrics, blocks or even a favourite panel and develop a quilt. All you need to be able to do is sew at 1/4 inch seam and the class is a chance to develop the confidence to start from scratch, without a pattern and build units that will fit together. The class participants will contribute ideas to help make your quilt interesting and unique.
This class is suitable for any level of experience. Come along and experiment and get away from using a pattern. The possibilities are endless and only limited by your imagination and willingness to have a go. If you are interested in doing this class but not sure if your ready to use your own fabric you are welcome to use community quilt fabric and when the top is finished you give it back to Community Quilts.
The class is limited to 12. Cost is $25.00 (No refunds will be paid). You can arrive from 9.30am to get set up so you are ready to start at 10am.
Full payment will secure your place in the class. If you are interested in attending this class please email Lyn at firstname.lastname@example.org or Eileen at email@example.com to discuss and payment instructions will be given.
